EUCALYPTUS CARROLL: I have been in Second Life for 10 years, and have enjoyed seeing the progression of things in this virtual world. I enjoy exploring the many wonderful sims and taking photographs. I am also a Dream’s Builder and enter building contests whenever I can. I have learned a lot about photography and building from my many friends who have always been there to support me.
I have entered a few of my photographs in competitions at Dreams, and was lucky enough to win 1st Place Judged for one of my photos.

My thanks to Margo Hollak and Veruca Tammas for encouraging me to take part in a Windlight Art Exhibit.

Kody 4.3

KODYMEYERS RESIDENT: Capturing the wonderful ambiance and environments created by so many talented landscapers in Second Life is my way to relax and explore my imagination.

Each picture depicts a story or is a reminder of an experience one can reflect upon when admiring it. As a perfectionist, I take the time necessary to capture the picture, experimenting with different angles, framings and windlights, until the perfect shot is created — the one that comes alive.

Using different programs and techniques to create my pictures, the result is always a surprise. My goal is to portray the magic behind the raw image. To be able to contribute to peace and happiness in this world is an honor and an endless pleasure.

From April 3-June 14, 2016, my work was displayed at Brook Hill Gallery.

Cica’s Them in Second Life | Inara Pey: Living in a Modem World

Inara reviews Cica Ghost’s latest installation, “Them.”

Now open is Cica Ghost’s latest full region installation: Them, and it is perhaps one of her most intriguing, and oddly endearing installations, yet beneath a blue / ochre sky, across which clouds periodically scud, lies as barren, undulating landscape of rock and rounded peaks. Strange tentacle-like forms rise into the air at various points, their dimpled sides suggesting they might be hollow, while their tampering, slightly twisted forms suggest tree trunks denuded of branch and leaf.

Margo Hollak

BIOGRAPHY: In Second Life I am Margo Hollak and alt, Jolie Carter (poet), and in real life I am P. de Haan. Much of my life has been spent working in the arts as an art teacher, an art gallery director and an art therapist. I attended Pratt Institute for my BFA and Wayne State University for my masters degree in art therapy.

I have experimented with various styles and media, so my body of work is eclectic. I hope that you will find some that you enjoy.

I have a gallery in the Virtual Chelsea Hotel neighborhood . Some of my other pieces are on display at the Art Gallery at JBS Estates, Otherwhen. 􀀀

or poet and remains in bondage like the princess

Solde Rothmanay

BIOGRAPHY: I began my SL originally in 2007 and since I began I discovered that I loved SL photography. In 2014, I attended Visionaire’s School for Photography here in SL.
While attending Visionaire I expressed my own style and began truly developing into my own. My love of landscapes has always held true though. Landscapes speak to me and I am more inspired.

While in SL, I enjoy being the Vice President of the Gators Motorcycle Club, as well as playing cards and games with my family and friends. I have three SL daughters, Audri, Olivia and Rosalyn, one son, Gage, as well as many members of extended family.

Reylenne Profile Photo
Rey Vlodovic

BIOGRAPHY: Rey Vlodovic is a Second Life and Real Life artist who explores both worlds, capturing experience with a penetrating eye and a special sense of place.

Her photography takes you on her personal journey of discovery to various second life sims exploring some of their beautiful surroundings, and offering her own “first moments”

“Imagine going somewhere for the first time and seeing a picturesque scene or an amazing building that simply takes your breath away. The beautiful simplicity of that first moment of experience is what I try to capture.

“I enjoy many styles of photography, but the one I am drawn to most is landscapes. Through it I hope to show bit of realism and evoke and share some emotion in our virtual world.”

Meet the Windlight Art Fellows: Syphera Inaka and Veruca Tammas

Today’s Windlight Art Fellows’ Spotlight is on Syphera Inaka and Veruca Tammas:

Syphotography - Faded Past - Syphera Inaka
Syphera Inaka

Biography: I have been doing SL photography for about 3 years but didnt get really serious about doing it until about a year and a half ago. Most of my art is landscape but I do have some profile photography under my belt. Second Life photography allows me to bring out my inner artist, it also is a way of relaxation for me.

Veruca Tammas

Biography: I’ve been in SL for almost 9 years (time flies when you’re having fun). My photos are usually only seen on the pages of Windlight Magazine in my Voyages with Vee column. I love exploring SL with all it’s beauty and wonderful creations. I build a little, write a little, DJ a little, and dance a lot. Librarian in RL and RP as a Gypsy in SL. I cherish my friends and loved ones in both worlds.

Meet the Windlight Art Fellows: Trinity Yazimoto and Ronin Shippe!

Todays Windlight Art Fellows spotlight is on Trinity Yazimoto and Ronin1 Shippe:

Trinity Yazimoto
Trinity Yazimoto

BIOGRAPHY: Im not a photographer per se, but more an photoshopper. If my work always start with a photograph, then its taken in several software like Photoshop where i twist the original image in order to create something new expressing my own view about sl and more generally about life. I also add a lot of coded fragments of myself, who i am, how i feel, etc in each of my pieces. But as soon as they are given to the ppl’s look, they no longer belong to me and everyone is entitled to interpret them as they wish. I would define the style of most of my pieces as fancy, twisted with a touch of bizarre. Some are more conventional, some more abstract but there is always much to read between the pixels.

Ronin_006 finished copy
Ronin1 Shippe

Brief Bio, Ronin1 Shippe: Ronin1 Shippe is an SL and RL artist, whose mediums include wood, clay, steel, and “painting” on the computer’s virtual canvass.

Ronin began his career as an SL artist while doing volunteer public relations work for an SL organization which assists people with disabilities who wish to explore SL. Ronin, who suffers from some hearing loss, felt that art exhibits might be a vehicle to help raise awareness and acceptance of people with disabilities in SL.

His paintings and art exhibits have since reached some 34 different countries worldwide, and have been very well received in the SL art community, where he is now counted among the better-known SL artists.

His paintings are studies in minimalism – Zen Impressionist works which strive to capture a mood, a moment, or a feeling – often whimsy – with only a minimal number of lines.
If you have any problems with your purchase, I can help. Please feel free to contact me via IM – Ronin1 Shippe. I will get in touch with you promptly and we’ll find a solution.

Thanks! 🙂

P.S. Please IM me for other current Ronin1 Shippe art show landmarks. 🙂 Thanks for your interest!
