Shakti Adored is curator of not one, not two, but THREE galleries in Second Life! Shakti has joined the Windlight Magazine family as a featured contributor and will debut her regular series, “The Curator’s Corner” in our upcoming July 2015 issue.
Below is Shakti’s biography:
“I am currently curating at The Rose, The Roxeter and Creation’s Fine Art Galleries, as well as Angelwood Art Auction House. As a curator, I am open to all genres of art for show acquisitions, from classical to erotica. I spend a great deal of my time visiting all the many galleries in SL; keeping an eye on the market, artists new work and tracking down discontinued and rare works. My understanding of art and artists comes from my studies (some formal training and”armchair” 😉 in art, psychology, quantum physics and marketing. I have some little hobbies in SL but I am 100% devoted to the visual arts in SL. I am most pleased when I can combine art and charity in a cooperative fund raising event. The articles I will be writing will address the art world in SL; it’s similarities to RL art world and how it could evolve to be more like or better than the RL art world for Second Life purposes. I will talk about things an artist needs to know about showing art in SL. Defining or UNdefining yourself as an artist, and much more”.
