Today’s Windlight Art Fellows spotlights are on Ceakay Ballyhoo, Warm Clarity, and Victoria Lenoire:
CK Ballyhoo has been roaming SL in search of wonderful landscapes and interesting buildings to capture and use to make her art. She has also discovered the joy of background studios and is still learning new things every day, often through inspiration by other artists.
Her style can be best described as capturing Moods. Feel yourself drawn into the landscapes of her pictures. See the emotion and character traits expressed in the people she portrays. It’s a dreamy world most of the time. Unclear lines, blurry, warm colours. Sometimes darker and gloomier.
There are often series. Sometimes around a theme, sometimes different takes of one scene, because she can’t decide which one she likes best and likes to give them time to grow on her.
She has a shop on the Marketplace (CKB Art) as well as an inworld gallery.
Recent works have been pop up books displays, a landscape made out of bodyparts, pictures of SL skies and pictures of SL Winter Wonderlands
For this exhibition the focus has been on black and white pictures, playing with contrast and eliminating distracting colourful items. Most of the pictures have a gloomy, sad feel to them, some a more magical sensation.

Real Life Biography of Warm Clarity
Growing up surrounded by a love of the arts by both parents, my natural instinct to draw and keep drawing obsessively was nurtured by both my parents and the massive collection of fantasy art and fine art books surrounding me in childhood. I spent an entire summer in my teens working endlessly on a series of pieces consisting entirely of flowers in vases and yet another summer the subject matter was trees and eyes.
Inspired by literature, graphic novels of the 1970s and artists of the Impressionist and Surrealist movements my work tends to vary in style and subject matter yet still maintain the trademark flowing natural curves that dominates every piece. As unnatural as my work looks all subject matter tends to lean toward subjects of horticulture and biology – nature. Most pieces are full of vibrant contrasting color combinations through the use of oils, acrylics, opaque water colors (gouache), prismacolor -pencils, markers, and art stix chalk pastels, and oil pastels with the occasional venture into pen and ink, charcoals and graphite.

BIOGRAPHY: Victoria Lenoirre has been involved in the SL art scene since 2010. She first started taking photos of art works and art galleries before transitioning into portraits and fashion photography. Art is such an inspiration. Her work has been described as moody and edgy. A big part of her work is color manipulation and color correction.
She loves to create poses for her photo shoots but also for her little SL business, Variposa. She also has a gallery at The Galleries owned by Ernie Farstrider.
Past gallery exhibitions have been at The Rose Galleries and ImagineNations gallery.
She is thankful to the friends who stand by her and encourage her to keep doing what she loves.
