To the organizers of AviChoice:
I am writing to request that Windlight Magazine be removed from your “awards” listing as an entrant. We at Windlight take the arts very seriously and noticed that your categories have left off some very well known and talented artists and photographers. We have also noticed that the arts categories are lacking. It is quite shameful and shocking that an “awards” show that prizes itself on representing the Second Life public would choose to overlook so many talented artists and photographers. As an arts publication, we find it offensive that the cultural aspect of Second Life would be denigrated in such a way.
Lastly, you choose to list our administrative alt as the owner of Windlight Magazine, when you know who owns the magazine, the details of this can be found on the alt and I seriously doubt anyone who nominated us, would have put the alt’s name in the nomination category.
For an organization that supposedly prides itself on quality and fairness, you would think they would take the time to check the ownership of the many businesses that are nominated. If they cannot even do this simple task, consider the voting aspect and integrity of the awards. Will your vote count? Will they ensure that the correct nominee received the correct votes?
I do wish some of our artists who did manage to get a nomination good luck with the “awards” show. I also encourage the Second Life public to continue supporting the many artists and photographers who are creating many immersive experiences, awesome artwork, and giving you some interesting pieces to view and look at.
Sincerely,
Johannes1977 Resident,
Owner & Publisher of Windlight Magazine
