Medieval Quest Role Play 2016
MONDAY MAR 14, 2016 6pm SLT

The Quest is an interactive, literature-based immersive learning environment developed by Brant Knutzen of the University of Hong Kong, which challenges learners to complete a treasure hunt with ten clues.

The Quest leads learners through a medieval village complete with a castle, King Arthur’s court, and numerous historical interactive simulations. This educational challenge can be experienced alone, or as part of a live role play with characters dressed in historical attire. The makers of the Second Life virtual environment (Linden Lab) have selected the Quest as a Featured Event for several months, and since January 1 the Community Virtual Library has exhibited this activity to publicize it for their members and visitors.

The Virtual Worlds Best Practices in Education (VWBPE) 2016 conference has selected the Quest for presentation on Monday, March 14th 6pm Pacific Time (Second Life Time)! The Community Virtual Library is organizing a role play at that time to enhance the learning experience, and to illustrate the possibilities for a more social educational experience. Additional role play events will follow (with dates to be determined) for those interested in participating at any level of experience.
