The major UWA competitions are over, but UWA lives on. Our next chapter will be a series of selected themes, somewhat like the UWA Artists’ Choice shows from a few years ago (see the SiVA exhibition catalogs). The new shows will be open to anyone as usual, but will not be judged and no prizes are offered. These are NOT competitions, but exhibitions. As a small incentive, each show will be documented and an exhibition catalog will be published online as part of the UWA Studies in Virtual Arts (UWA SiVA) journal series.The first show is to be titled “IMMATERIAL” and is about light, shadows, textures, motion, and ideas. The theme is deliberately vague in order to allow for the broadest possible interpretation…..
