I am a contemporary fine artist in RL who brings her art into SL. I work impressionistically mainly in oils and watercolors – still life, portraits, landscapes….letting the brushstrokes expressed the mood. I paint whatever moves me at the moment.
Join us this Sunday, at 12pm slt for the grand opening of the Art by Elise Sirnah Exhibition! The event will feature lie performers Winter and Ziggy Sixpence.
ELISE SIRNAH BIOGRAPHY: Elise Sirnah’s great love for exploration and photography has led her to many places meeting people from around the world. Many of them have been immortalized in her own unique way, via her second love taking photos. Her innate kindness has given her many friends whom she is always willing to support and help. After a few years break she returned to SL deciding to take photographs, learning much and meeting so many people with similar passion. After Mystic Timbers closed she wanted to continue the magic and relaxed feel and created Mimmo. A magical place, a paradise of inspiration for every photographer. Elise had much support from friends who have moved on to concentrate on other things, and is so grateful for their support.
Mimmo is now managed by Graice Shade and Elise, who are proud to offer Mimmo for all
Elise’s passion developed and she now blogs, expanding her horizons for the wonderful creators who sponsor her. She has also built the Beauty Factory Sim, which will soon be undergoing further changes.
Her restless spirit and inquisitive mind always leads her to new, creative paths whatever she does in her free time you will find her dancing and enjoying a glass of wine & Chocolate!
I take most of my photos at my homemade studio in SL but there are some location shoots as well. I create my own avatars for models and try to give them an unconventional kind of beauty, a sex appeal that seems more real than cookie-cutter barbie doll avies. I usually focus on shapes, shadows and light, with overall composition and balance being the desired goal. Lastly, I try to depict my models doing ordinary things with a seemingly innocent natural sensuality. Don’t forget to visit my other galleries in SL!
Join us at Kultivate Loft Gallery, on Sunday, March 21, 2021 from 12 to 2pm slt for the grand opening of Slatan Drykes new exhibition, “My Greece, My Cats.”
This event will feature live performers Lyric Serendipity & Jesie Janick with a casual dress code!
“Photography… My Photography is not an Art Expression. It’s only a way to bust from myself… however, being closer to my Kernel”. – Slatan Dryke –
“The suspended moment intervenes during the action, and suddenly it blows up in a sharp lapse into yore”. – Slatan Dryke –
Slatan is Italian and he grew up surrounded by the best Art expression at 360°, and probably the best in the world.
Slatan loves Art in every form, but he is most fond of paintings and sculptures, following his classical education. Slatan is also a photographer in RL.
Always the traveler, Slatan loves to wander across the grid, finding new pockets of beauty for his pictures, thanks to the creativity and imagination of fellow residents.
Slatan is a perfectionist in taking his pictures, never missing a single detail. The ratio, the framing and light are quite an obsession, until finally the right image is in his viewfinder. Slatan rarely uses an editor to modify his pictures, so he likes to say his works are “natural”.
On the other hand, Slatan admits to have limited skills in building, so he creates his sculptures, not following a real scheme, but only indulging his instinct and his love for abstract forms, which are often slight but become alive with a creative use of textures, lights and movements. Slatan likes to use old-school SL building methods, with a preference for prims in their multiple aspects rather than mesh.
His buildings, sculptures and photographies have been exhibited in Art Galleries and at a number of main SL events:: University of Western Australia (UWA), BURN2’s, Santalarity, Burnal Equinox, Conception; SL Birthday, Raglan Shire’s ArtWalk, Art in the Park, Emphatic Eccentricia, Seaside Gallery, Oxford @rts Gallery. Pop-Up Art, Cape Able Art Gallery, VWBPE (Virtual Worlds Best Practice in Education), Ethnographia, Linden Endowment for the Arts (LEA), Kultivate Windlight Art Gallery, Holly Kay Art Park, Phoenix Artists Collaboration, Ani’s Gallery, La Maison d’Aneli, Argentum Artem, ArtCare Gallery, International Photography Festival, One Billion Rising, Relay for Life, Rock your Rack, Second Life Endowment for The Arts (SLEA), and many others including collaborations with artists in Second Life and Educational Institutions in Real Life as EduNation and Dublin Institute of Technology.
Kultivate is pleased to announce our first exhibition of 2021! Join us this Sunday from 12pm to 2pm slt as Kultivate Loft Gallery presents the art of Inara Pey!
This event will feature live performers Rapid Randy & Bubbles Song, with a casual dress code! You can learn more about Inara below:
“As Inara Pey, I’ve been continuously engaged in Second Life since December 2006 – although my initial involvement goes back to before then. Over the years, I’ve been involved in many things, some out of interest, some as a result of real life activities at the time. I’ve been a builder, a sim designer, an estate manager, a region holder, a homestead builder, I’ve run a residential rental business, I’ve tutored and explored, I’ve role-played, I’ve helped establish groups and communities – the list goes on. However, it is as a blogger and explorer that I’ve found my niche – and I count myself as lucky in having people find what I have to write about interesting! I don’t claim to be an expert in art – much less an artist – but I do have an armchair appreciation for the subject something which has led me over the last five years in particular to blog extensively about art exhibits, artists and installations across Second Life. ”
Inara is the owner and author of the very popular Second Life site, Modem World. You can visit Modem World at the following link: www.modemworld.me
Join us this Sunday, September 20, 2020 from 1 to 3pm slt as Kultivate presents the art of Michiel Bechier at the Kultivate Loft Gallery! This event will feature live performers Jovan Buchsbaum (1pm to 2pm slt) and Quartz (2pm to 3pm slt) with a casual dress code at both events!
I have started my long virtual journey into Second Life as a photographer in 2009.
First my main motivation was to share the richness of creations of all those different sims, with all their aspects. During my trips I did meet a lot of people from all over the world. They learned me a lot of their backgrounds, passions and interests.
I have discovered the possiblities from all kinds of tools which helped me to improve my captures. By editing them I try to add a personal touch and feeling. Experiments with the effect of colors are often done, and more recently I am trying to show the details by working with high resolution photos.
Join us this Tuesday, August 11, 2020 from 1 to 3pm slt as Kultivate presents the art of Reya Darkstone at Kultivate Loft Gallery! This event will feature live performers Loreen Aldrin (1pm to 2pm slt) & Abby Jaidov (2 to 3pm slt)! Casual dress code at both events!
You can learn more about Reya below: I have been around for some time, and have always been impressed by the vivid imaginations of the many artists that live in this virtual slice of the world. I started taking photos for fun and perhaps contribute a small token of my talent to it all. I am also owner of Rise Design Jewelry & Accessories, so my enjoyment of Second Life is now three-fold; creating pictures for myself and others to enjoy, meeting new people from all over the world, and creating high-quality mesh accessories.
To all my fellow shutterbugs and those that just like to appreciate the art of others, remember there’s always something beautiful in front you–just look in the mirror!
If interested in acquiring a photo, please contact me in-world, “Reya Darkstone”.
Join us this Sunday, July 5, 2020 from 1 to 3pm slt at Kultivate Loft Gallery, as we present the art of Myra Wildmist! The event will feature 2 live performers with a casual dress code.
BIOGRAPHY:
My art primarily explores the freedom online communities, specifically Second Life, provide, allowing you to set aside your cultural roles and explore other roles. Real life cultural roles are necessary for a functioning society, but they are often extremely confining, almost forcing people into pigeonholes of expected behavior. Second Life gives us all the opportunity to slip out of our pigeon holes and be almost anything we can imagine.
Join us this Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at The Kultivate Loft Gallery for the grand opening event of Kultivate presents The Art of Shakti Adored Exhibition!

I’ve been drawing since I could hold a crayon. I studied art throughout school, Commercial Art in high school and Graphic Design at Tyler School of Art/Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. . After the turn of the century, I decided to focus my creativity on acrylic and digital painting and have totally enjoyed the journey.
Known in SL as JudiLynn India and RL as Judi Lynn, my mission is to share my vision and message as an artist with the global community. My work embodies my spirit and personality. My goal is to allow you to experience the image with your own mind’s eye. My work is entirely intuitive. I get lost in the layering of texture and color. Occasionally, I will include figurative work if my spirit is so presented with the composition. Just as there is order in the chaos of the universe, the energy within me is brought into focus one canvas at a time.
Join us this Sunday, March 22, 2020, from 1pm to 3pm slt at Kultivate Loft Gallery for a solo exhibition, featuring the art of Skye Joubert! You can learn more about Skye Joubert below:
Skye Joubert is a real life mixed media artist who lives in Ojai, California at her main studio aldea del ciELo. She hosts workshops at her studio and has art hanging in establishments around town.
Skye also has pieces hanging in Miracle Mile Medical Center in Hollywood, CA as well as Hadavi Spa in Long Beach, CA. Dedicated followers of her work like Writer and Musician Robert Gregory Browne and Doctor Gil Tepper and others enjoy collecting her whimsical characters.
She is also a member of The SketchBook Project where her TeaBag Art Sketchbook is stored at the Brooklyn Art Museum. Her second SketchBook will go live there soon!
She also was a proud participant in the 14th annual Artwalk on Raglan Shire, Second Life (2019) which featured 200 second life artists. The following video shows a sample of the Artwalk and Skye’s artwork got a lot of time! Catch it at 24- 27 seconds into the video.
Her childlike folk art boldly explores her love of colors. Having been raised in an artistic home with three life-like artists it took her a while to re-visit her artistic style. “I can sketch life-like art, I just have no fun doing it! I love the spontaneity of splashing colors on an old piece of wood or cardboard, mapping a face with pencil and then – boom letting the character develop itself. It is like childplay! I live to have paint on my hands”.
She proudly recycles pieces of wood and cardboard in her individual effort to make less trash, or rather turn her trash into art. She has painted mermaids on fabric chairs and painted faces on guitars (in both worlds) as well as TV trays and Tables. Items that had once seen a better day spring to life again with her bold colors and characters.
In Second Life she lives with her Second Life Family and boyfriend on (beYou Affiliate) Joubert’s BeFarm Grocery at Joubertville, True Love (73, 199, 21) which is home to a working beYou Farm, beYou Grocery Store, and coming soon a beYou craft center located in her SL studio where she holds RL Art Sessions. “It is so great that today we can expand our knowledge and learning because of the Internet. There are tons of YouTube videos out there for FREE – I even have produced some!
Come visit RustyTruck Art Gallery and ciELo ArtPlay and explore what Skye’s art and beYou are all about. If you are interested in her real life art or workshops held in Ojai, CA email her at skye.sings@gmail.com.
