Ariel Brearly, very talented photographer in Second Life (discovered on Flickr)

Kultivate Art  Critic and Gallery Reviewer Oema, explores the work of Ariel Brearly:

They’re good. They are very good. Yet they do not want to exhibit their works Inwold, at best expose on Flickr. That’s why you need to go to find them and get them out of their burrow.

One of this very respectable photographers and artists is Ariel Brearly, whose works are technically and artistically excellent. I had the pleasure to know her when Dixmix Source invited me to visit his gallery. On that occasion he explained that there are many talented artists on Flickr ranging encouraged to expose Inworld, also promoting itself through an opening. No sooner said than done. Dixmix “gives” a large space at his Gallery, at the entrance, with two floors of exhibition. Pictures you see are from an old collection owned by Dix.

Art in SL photography and (artistic) shots by Paola Mills

Kultivate Art Critic and Gallery Reviewer, Oema, reviews the work of Paola Mills:

In S.Life world, expression modes are endless: from photography to video, from fashion to art, from construction to music, are really disparate activities that allow people to better express themselves.

Especially photography, in recent years, has taken an important role, as witnessed by the numerous Flickr account related to S.Life Avatar who share every day millions of shots.

It starts with an occasional photo, to collect dozens of shots, hoping to find “the right one”:  the “right angle, the “right” light, “right” expression, the “right” pose.

In the end you take the taste of photography that, soon, become a real passion.

This also happened to Paola Mills, S.Life photographer.

“New Fractal Insanity” the Art of Milly Sharple

Kultivate’s Art Critic and Gallery Reviewer Oema, reviews Milly Sharple’s latest exhibition:

I’m visiting right now the wonderful exhibition of Milly Sharple entitled “New Fractal Insanity“(click to teleport).
It is an art show that exhibits fractal art.

For those not familiar with the fractal art, it is created by calculating fractal mathematical functions and processing the calculation results obtained in images, animations, music or other forms of artistic expression.
Normally the fractal art is created with the help of a computer in order to speed up the calculation process of fractal feature.
Since the origin of this art form is mathematics, there have been critical in the classification of art image thus obtained.
However, in this doubt now artistic environment is exceeded and we can talk about art with a certain tranquility.

Theda Tammas’ Beauty is Strange Feelings

Windlight Art Critic & gallery Reviewer, Oema, is back with a review of the new exhibition at Daphne Arts Gallery:

By always the art is an expression more showy of the epoch of reference. The Surrealist movement was and is particularly suited to the moments of great transition and confusion, as our one at this time.

Amona Savira, art experience in R.Life available to the virtual world

Night Window
Night Window

Windlight Art Critic and Gallery Reviewer, Oema, reviews the work of Amona Savira:

The professional world of S.Life is very varied.
On the other hand it is not surprising, in fact in most cases those who carry out an activity in S.Life does it as a hobby, as a moment of relaxation and detachment from reality.  S.Life is the world of fantasy, where everyone is free to dream and to present itself in an activity and also in a work who, perhaps, is not done in a professional way, but certainly with passion and fun.

Sina Souza, when virtual art becomes real art

Sina Souza

Windlight Art Critic and Gallery Review Oema is back with another review. This time she reviews the work of Sina Souza:

I like to think that Art (with a capital A) is able to “go through any levee”, to overcome any prejudice and to involve (always) the observer.

This is not to say that all should be involved from the same emotions by observing the various works, but when we are looking at an artwork should be no preconceptions or prejudices in its enhancement.

Even art that takes shape from photos taken in S.Life should not, therefore, be viewed with suspicion because of the images that were taken within the 3D S.Life world and later processed.

There are artists in S.Life that should, in my opinion, be more valued, because the type of image you propose has nothing to envy to the work of established artists.

Sina Souza is definitely a good S.Life artist  that has managed to bring her art in R.Life successfully.

“The lost children” of Rose Borchovski @LEA 7

Windlight Art Critic and Gallery Reviewer, Oema, reviews the new LEA 7 Exhibition by Rose Borchovski:

LEA7_01.png
It ‘s always a great pleasure to visit the 3d exhibitions of Rose and art installation in LEA 7 is no exception.

If I were to give a title to the extraordinary performance 3d hosted in LEA7 I would say “The lost children.”

The protagonists are, in fact, children, shown with all their joy of life and experience, but also with their confusion, dismay, sadness and, in some cases, violence.

An Ascension to the 10th Dimension at LEA29

LEA29_01.png

Windlight Magazine’s Art Critic & Gallery Reviewer, Oema, reviews the new exhibition on LEA 29:

LEA29 is hosting a wonderful artistic installation about a fascinating and a little known theme, the passage to the tithe dimension.
I have had the pleasure to go through the various “doors of the awareness“, living this experience with the due lightness.
At the landing point of LEA29 there is a synthetic presentation of the same artistic installation.
Nothing is explained regarding the tenth dimension and even regarding thing to expect from this virtual experience.
The reason is evident: to leave to the observer the pleasure to dive to the 3d reality which looks both surreal that captivating.
It’s notable the ability of Tansee, the author, to create objects 3D and to animate them entirely in an unique way.
